NielsenIQ’s $230 million trade secret misappropriation case against Circana transferred to new US court

In the lawsuit, originally filed in January 2024, Nielsen says that shopper analytics software developed by Circana misappropriates trade secrets associated with Nielsen's “TDLinx” database, causing NielsenIQ to suffer more than $230 million in damages.Efforts by Nielsen LLC, doing business as NielsenIQ, to bring trade secret misappropriation claims against Circana in Arkansas — where the defendant compiles Walmart retail-consumer data for its “ShopperSights” analytics software — have failed on jurisdiction grounds....
