Social media addiction case in state court narrowed by California judge

Kuhl in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County. Kuhl dismissed a sex- and age-discrimination claim, and a negligence claim for failing to warn the public about the potential harms of the platforms' use. But she gave the plaintiffs permission to amend their negligence claim after finding it wasn't adequately pled. Claims that social media companies cause addiction and harm to children and teens have been trimmed by a state judge in California....
