Facebook, Instagram blocked Australia's Sked Social to harm rival, court documents allege

By James Panichi ( April 16, 2019, 07:56 GMT | Insight) -- Facebook and Instagram abused their market power when they banned Sked Social from their platforms over accusations that the Australian start-up had violated the social media platforms’ terms, according to court documents filed this week. In a lawsuit filed at the Federal Court of Australia, Sked’s parent company, Dialogue Consulting, accused the social media companies of targeting its scheduling product by cutting Sked's access to them while offering a new publishing service “discriminately” to Sked’s competitors.
