Merced health clinic files antitrust suit against Central California Alliance for Medical Health

( January 28, 2014, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Horisons Unlimited has filed an antitrust complaint against the Central California Alliance for Medical Health, Merced County, and the Merced Board of Supervisors alleging that they have conspired to keep Horisons out of the market for Medi-Cal Managed Care health services. Horisons argues that Merced elected to make Alliance the sole Medi-Cal Managed care entity in Merced with which all healthcare providers had to contract, restricting trade. Horisons further says that member of the board have made it difficult for Horisons to hire and keep medical staff by not allowing interim certification of the staff during Alliance’s six month review period while allowing a competing clinic to do so. See document below....
