Speech: Peter Mandelson - Globalisation and Europe

( September 3, 2007, 12:34 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: EU trade commissioner Peter Mandelson has cited the energy-saving lightbulbs antidumping case as an example of the 'sort of problem globalisation throws up' in having to balance the interests of European firms outsourcing production, and even environmental aims. 'In the coming weeks' the commission will be considering its trade defence review, presenting "an opportunity to discuss ... how we define community production in Europe."
