Broadcom-Symantec deal needs US, EU, Japan antitrust approval

( August 8, 2019, 22:19 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Broadcom's plan to buy Symantec's enterprise security business needs antitrust clearance in the US, Europe and Japan, according to a Symantec securities filing. The companies plan to file US antitrust paperwork within 10 business days of their Aug. 8 agreement, and the termination date for the deal is Feb. 8, 2020, subject to an automatic three-month extension if required antitrust approvals have not been obtained but other conditions to close the deal are met.Excerpt....
