DOJ proposes May 7 'trial-ready' date for AT&T-Time Warner deal challenge

( November 28, 2017, 23:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Department of Justice told the DC Circuit that it should refuse the rushed timeline proposed by AT&T and Time Warner for a February start to the trial in the DOJ's challenge to their proposed merger. The companies can change the April 22 termination date in their merger agreement "with the stroke of a pen," the DOJ said, requesting a "trial-ready" date of May 7. The DOJ also said the case is complex because it is vertical in nature, involving different parts of a supply chain.See document attached....
