Mapfre's Funespaña faces national gun-jumping probe

The CNMC opened its formal probe on Feb. 26, the agency said today. Last November, the watchdog asked Funespaña — a unit of insurance group Mapfre — to notify the deal because it exceeded market-share thresholds.
