'Significant developments' in US washer industry since 2018 safeguard measures, ITC report says

( August 7, 2019, 18:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US large residential washer industry has seen "a number of significant developments" since the February 2018 imposition of tariff-rate quotas under Section 201 of the Trade Act of 1974, according to a mid-review report issued by the International Trade Commission. Such developments include decreased imports, generally increased prices, some improvement in the financial performance of continuously operating producers, increased production by two new domestic producers and increased employment.See documents below....
