Judge allows antitrust claims against Health First to go forward

( January 22, 2015, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US District Judge Roy B. Dalton denied defendants’ motion to dismiss the third amended complaint filed against them accusing them of monopolizing the market for acute care hospital services. Dalton found that plaintiffs have standing because they directly suffered antitrust injuries as they were "necessary to and competitively harmed by a purposefully anticompetitive scheme to monopolize the market" in Southern Brevard County.
