Chinese advertising site 58.com buys 43.2% of Ganji.com

( April 17, 2015, 08:22 GMT | Official Statement) -- Chinese online marketplace 58.com Inc. said Friday it has acquired a 43.2 percent stake in Falcon View Technology, the holding company of Chinese peer Ganji.com. The New York-listed company bought the stake for a combination of 34 million newly issued shares and $412.2 million in cash, it said in a statement. Meanwhile, Chinese Internet giant Tencent has agreed to buy new shares in 58.com for $400 million, increasing its holdings in the company to 25.1 percent.
