Netherlands warns telecom companies about respecting ‘net neutrality’ law

( July 13, 2016, 09:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Dutch telecom regulator has warned that some offers by telecom operators are “at odds” with new European rules on “net neutrality,” the principle of treating all web traffic equally. In particular, the regulator’s concerns relate to provisions in the law giving customers the freedom to choose the device they use for accessing Internet services. Another concern relates to a rule banning providers from modifying the quality of video streaming, the Authority for Consumers and Markets said.Full statement follows....
