Crownalytics moves to dismiss Circana's amended counterclaims in US antitrust case over sale of data analytics services

( September 11, 2024, 20:15 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Data analytics company Crownalytics has asked a federal Colorado court to dismiss defendant Circana's amended counterclaims in the parties' antitrust dispute. The counterclaims accuse Crownalytics of misappropriating Circana's trade secrets. "Until Defendants conspired to restrain competition, Crownalytics had provided analytics services to customers — manufacturers of natural and organic consumer packaged goods — that had licensed data for that purpose," Crownalytics said in its motion to dismiss. "As Circana understood, analytics services are necessary for customers to extract market insights from the data. Despite these obvious (and admitted) facts, Circana asserts these amended counterclaims, which should be dismissed."See document below....
