IEEE's patent policy need not be changed, app association says

In a letter written to IEEE general counsel Sophia Muirhead, ACT along with 41 other organizations said the US Department of Justice's unilateral revision in September 2020 to a business review letter issued to IEEE encouraging a change in patent policy is "now fueling calls from some SEP holders" to have the standards body start a process to reverse the its 2015 policy.Statement and document follow below:...
