Antitrust officials recommend CADE tribunal fine heart-doctors’ cooperative

( April 15, 2015, 12:47 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Antitrust officials in Brazil have advised decision-makers to fine a heart-doctors’ cooperative in Bahia state, called Cardiotorax, for setting prices for medical services and boycotting health plans that didn’t accept its price fixing. Antitrust officials recommended that CADE’s tribunal consider other penalties to avoid similar cases in the future, as the regulator has recently faced several market foreclosures carried out by medical cooperatives.
