Ofgem tightens standards for energy price-comparison websites
( January 21, 2015, 15:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK’s Office of Gas and Electricity Markets has revised its code to require energy price-comparison sites to be clear and transparent with the tariffs they display, or face losing accreditation. The regulator has asked comparison websites to show all tariffs available in the market, to disclose with which energy companies they have commission arrangements, and to specify that they earn commissions on certain tariffs.
