Shanmugam — received letters from the police on Tuesday requesting them to go to the police headquarters in Kuala Lumpur for investigation under the Sedition Act 1948. Malaysian Bar President Steven Thiru said the police measures were unacceptable. On March 19, more than 700 lawyers supported a motion calling for Apandi's resignation to restore public confidence in the rule of law, blaming his decision to shut down corruption probes into Prime Minister Najib Razak and SRC International, a former subsidiary of state-investment fund 1Malaysia Development, or 1MDB....
