Accolade Wine's play for Pernod Ricard's Australian business sparks regulatory review

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said that its probe would focus on the deal’s likely impact on prices and quality in markets for the wholesale supply of wine; the likely impact on prices paid in acquisition markets for wine grapes and bulk wine; and whether the proposed acquisition would give Accolade the ability and incentive to foreclose rival winemakers access to processing, bottling and packaging services.
