French supermarkets can take over Casino stores after French interim ‘derogation’

( March 19, 2024, 17:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: French supermarkets Intermarché, Auchan and Carrefour will be able to acquire 323 stores currently operated by the Casino group, after the French competition authority granted a derogation from the normal “suspensory” effect of merger control.
