Medical diagnostic systems firms face antitrust probe in Romania

( May 23, 2022, 12:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Ultrasound medical equipment companies, including Italy-based supplier Esaote and several distributors, are being investigated by the Romanian Competition Authority to see if they entered into agreements to limit the sale of Esaote-branded equipment in the country, the regulator announced. The distributors involved in the case include German companies Camed Medical Systems, BMS Ultraschall and Romanian company DTL Medical. The probe follows simultaneous surprise visits carried out in Germany, Italy and Romania, the watchdog said.
