Toshiba, Samsung, others re-settle CRT price-fixing claims

( July 30, 2019, 22:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A group of electronics companies including Toshiba, Panasonic and Samsung have reached a new settlement to resolve price-fixing claims over cathode ray tubes brought by a class of indirect purchasers. Some $541 million in settlements reached in 2015 were thrown out earlier this year after US District Judge Jon Tigar acknowledged mistakes in approving the deals, despite the release of claims without compensation for plaintiffs in certain states.
