UK government publishes draft Digital Economy Bill

( July 6, 2016, 20:59 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK government has published a draft law to boost the digital economy. Among its provisions are a right to broadband with a capacity of 10 megabits per second, simpler consumer switching for communications services, measures to simplify the buildout of digital infrastructure, and an update of regulator Ofcom’s appeals procedure. The draft bill also includes measures to regulate access to online pornography, to crack down on counterfeiting on the web and to boost the development of digital government services.The documents are linked below...
