Sevo can get Finnish support to build hydroelectric pump storage, EU Commission says
( December 5, 2022, 10:45 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Finnish company Suomen Energiavarasto Oy can get national aid to build an underground hydroelectric pump storage facility, the European Commission has said. The support is worth 26.3 million euros, and will help Sevo to convert an unused mine into a storage unit to produce clean energy and to replace grid electricity generated from gas, to further reduce Finland's dependence on Russian fossil fuels.Press release follows....
