HiQ Labs says LinkedIn trying to paint it as a bad actor to protect own bottom line

( May 20, 2022, 19:48 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: HiQ Labs moved to dismiss LinkedIn’s counterclaims accusing hiQ of illegally scraping its data, saying they are a transparent attempt by LinkedIn to pose as a defender of user privacy. “Far from crusading for justice, LinkedIn is campaigning for its own bottom line and improperly attempting to use its counterclaims to shut down fair competition. LinkedIn’s counterclaims fail to state a claim against hiQ and must be dismissed,” hiQ argued.
