​China’s State Council issues notice on cracking down on IP infringement, counterfeiting

( April 9, 2015, 04:49 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s State Council Thursday published a notice to setting out the focus of a campaign to crack down on intellectual property infringement and counterfeiting. The State Council called for up-to-date legislation in this area, including the formulation of an e-commerce law, as well as strengthened enforcement. According to the notice, government departments of different levels should promote the use of licensed software and establish a system to manage procurement and supervision.
