Motilal Oswal caught in green channel mishap, faces penalty from Indian antitrust watchdog

The Competition Commission of India imposed a penalty of 1 million rupees ($12,500) on Motilal Oswal after determining the existence of a vertical or complementary relationship between the acquirer's portfolio company and the target. This is the second time that the CCI has issued a penalty for an incorrect green channel filing.
