US FTC commissioners Wilson, Phillips dissent from annual budget request

( March 28, 2022, 20:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The two Republican members of the US Federal Trade Commission declined to endorse the agency's $490 million budget request for the coming fiscal year. In a statement, Commissioners Noah Phillips and Christine Wilson decried the request, writing that it "provides no roadmap for effectively deploying the dramatic increase in resources it purports to justify, and no assurance that the agency will abandon its present course of deviating from sound legal precedent and the Commission’s established jurisdiction."
