CADE says bid-rigging happened mostly in work on Brazil's North-South line in railway-works cartel probe

( June 30, 2016, 21:34 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Brazilian antitrust officials investigating a railway-work cartel said that bid-rigging by engineering companies for contracts with railway-network company Valec Engenharia, Construções e Ferrovias mostly involved work carried out on Brazil’s North-South line. They also said that, according to information Camargo Corrêa provided in a whistleblower agreement with the agency, the North-South line represented Valec's largest project in terms of value.
