US judge adopts recommendation, dismisses REE, OSR trade secret case on forum non conveniens grounds

( August 26, 2024, 10:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: REE Automotive Holding Ltd. and REE Automotive Holding Inc., along with a US-based affiliate, secured dismissal of a $7.8 billion trade secret misappropriation action filed against them in 2022 by Switzerland’s OSR Enterprises and its subsidiary, Israel-based OSR R&D.  The dispute involves a platform for controlling electric vehicles that relies, at least in part, on artificial intelligence. Judge Alan Albright of the Western District of Texas adopted a January recommendation by a magistrate judge that the case should proceed in Israel.See document below....
