US Court of Appeals for DC Circuit puts another TikTok case into abeyance

( February 18, 2021, 20:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit granted an unopposed motion to hold in abeyance a case involving TikTok's challenge against planned federal government prohibitions on doing business with the Chinese social media app. The notice closes out, for now, the last open TikTok case against the prohibitions, which were enacted during the presidency of Donald Trump. Two such cases made their way to the DC circuit; judges hearing the other appeal already granted abeyance after the administration of President Joe Biden said it's undertaking a review of the Trump-era prohibition policy. The US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit also put into abeyance an appeal stemming from a challenge by TikTok users made in its jurisdiction.Order text follows:...
