( June 30, 2016, 08:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The OECD Working Group on Bribery sent a strong message to Japan today, saying the country must up its efforts to fight bribery. The group said Japan must reform its Anti-Organised Crime Law so that companies and individuals convicted of bribing foreign public officials cannot keep proceeds gained illegally. The body also warned that continued failure to implement its recommendations would negatively affect other countries' efforts to combat foreign bribery. Japan has prosecuted only four cases of foreign bribery since 1999.Full statement follows. ...
