US Supreme Court declines to hear appeal in Facebook Beacon case

( November 4, 2013, 14:57 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Supreme Court said it wouldn't hear an appeal by objectors to a settlement involving privacy claims over Facebook’s now-defunct Beacon feature. In a statement, Chief Justice John Roberts said that he agreed with the decision not to allow the appeal but that the court should consider taking a case to clarify the limits of cy pres remedies in class action settlements.See document below....
