Amazon escapes Indian abuse of dominance charges in online fashion

( September 13, 2020, 22:53 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Competition Commission of India declined to launch a detailed antitrust investigation into Amazon Seller Services, which manages and operates Amazon.in, because Amazon was found not to be dominant in the market for selling online fashion. The complaint was initiated by Lifestyle Equities, owner of the Beverly Hills Polo Club brand, which had alleged that Amazon.in was selling counterfeit products at abysmally low prices which had in turn had a debilitating effect on its own website sales and this was foreclosing competition.
