Australia's CovidSafe app prompted no data breach notifications in last six months, privacy regulator finds

( November 30, 2022, 03:05 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Australia's CovidSafe app prompted no data breach notifications or privacy complaints between May and November, a report by the country's privacy regulator has found. In a media release today, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner said the assessment program looked at the app's compliance risk throughout the "information lifecycle" of its data collection. The government said in August the app was no longer required to prevent or control the spread of the Covid-19 virus, making this the final six-monthly report by the regulator on privacy issues linked to the app.The full statement from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner follows:...
