Hyundai Rotem prohibited from public tenders for 10 months for legal infraction

Last November, the company won a contract to build subway platform screen doors in 22 stations in Daegu City for 23.3 billion won ($20 million). The project was a public tender ordered by the Daegu Metropolitan Transit Corp. Hyundai Rotem handed the project over in fully operational form to a subcontractor by making a turn-key contract, which is not allowed under the law. Hyundai Rotem said it will appeal to the city to cancel the administrative measure and, if necessary, will file an administrative lawsuit. ...
