Viagogo faults UK CMA's findings on StubHub merger

( September 10, 2020, 09:53 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Viagogo has said the UK Competition and Markets Authority's findings into the ticketing website's completed purchase of eBay's StubHub are flawed. In a paper, the company said the regulator made incorrect assumptions about the competitive nature of secondary ticketing and that it overstated the extent to which StubHub constrains Viagogo in the UK. It also said the CMA underestimated the competitive constraints, both direct and indirect, from other actual and potential operators. Earlier this year, the CMA said the deal raised competition concerns. The CMA will make a final decision on the merger by Dec. 9.Statement follows. The document is attached....
