Dairy groups support trade with Cuba

( January 8, 2015, 21:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The National Milk Producers Federation, the US Dairy Export Council and the International Dairy Foods Association joined other food and agriculture groups in support of changing US policy to facilitate US dairy exports to Cuba. "Cuba has been importing approximately $200 million worth of dairy products in recent years, but virtually none of that has come from our exporters due to the restrictions they face in trading with Cuba," the groups said in a Thursday letter. The groups said lifting travel restrictions could also help spur greater demand for US products. Statement follows in full. ...
