Tinder commits to more transparent personalized pricing, EU Commission says

( March 7, 2024, 13:46 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Tinder has committed to telling consumers when they receive automated, personalized discounts. The dating app uses “automated means” to identify consumers who weren’t interested in its premium version at a standard price, to target them with discounts, the European Commission said today. The company has made a commitment to not implement personalized age-based pricing without notifying users. They will also inform users if discounts are personalized and explain why they have been offered personalized discounts. It will make those changes by mid-April, the commission said.The statement follows....
