UK regulator to analyze Motor Fuel’s remedy offer for Murco filling-stations purchase

( January 8, 2015, 13:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority has said it will consider whether to accept a remedy offer that Motor Fuel made for its acquisition of more than 200 filling stations, as well as other assets, from Murco Petroleum. Motor Fuel offered to divest one of the Murco sites, in Hythe in the southeast of England. Last year, the CMA expressed concern that the deal might lessen competition in that region.
