Tesco takeover of Booker provisionally cleared by UK watchdog

( November 14, 2017, 08:20 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Supermarket chain Tesco's takeover of Booker has been provisionally cleared by the UK's Competition and Markets Authority. The regulator said the deal, worth 3.7 billion pounds, does not raise competition concerns, finding that retailer Tesco and wholesaler Booker "do not compete head-to-head in most of their activities."
