Medicover fined over breaching data confidentiality, Romanian regulator says

( November 24, 2022, 14:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Romanian healthcare provider Medicover has been fined 4,901 lei (1,000 euros) by the national data protection authority for lacking sufficient data security measures. The company had notified the watchdog of the data breach incident related to sending an e-mail to a client including a third party's confidential information. The watchdog said the incident led to a breach of data confidentiality as a result of company's failure to implement sufficient technical and organizational measures for data security.  Statement follows in Romanian....
