Proposed 'show cause' flight-cancellation requirements aimed at Australian aviation competition

According to the final report of a major review of the aviation sector, the government will overhaul the compliance regime for the use of landing slots at Sydney, including by legislating upgraded penalties for slot misuse and by appointing independent members to a revamped Compliance Committee. The government said it would conduct further consultation on the implementation of the proposals.
