​Shanghai publishes measures on carrying out pilot program for parallel import of autos

( January 8, 2015, 01:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce on Tuesday published the “Notice on Pilot Program for Auto Parallel Import in China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone.” The program allows auto distributors registered in the free trade zone, with the permission of the Ministry of Commerce,  to engage in the parallel importing of cars. The commission in the document lists qualifications required for distributors to participate in the program, including a minimum of five years in the auto sales business and a minimum of 400 billion yuan ($64 million) of auto sales revenus in the previous financial year. The full statement follows:...
