Oral personal-data sharing constitutes data processing under GDPR, EU top court rules

The European Court of Justice said this type of processing "comes within the material scope" of the GDPR. The judgment was made as part of a Finnish referral, in the appeal case of Endemol Shine Finland against a district court's refusal to grant its oral request for information regarding potential ongoing or concluded criminal proceedings involving a competition participant.The judgment is attached.
