U.S. Department of Transportation: DOT proposes to grant Delta/US Airways slot waiver with conditions

( July 22, 2011, 17:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- Mlex Summary: The Department of Transportation has proposed the divestiture of some takeoff and landing rights to allow Delta and US Airways to trade some of their operating rights with one another, affecting Reagan Washington National Airport and LaGuardia Airport in New York. In specific, the DOT suggests requiring the companies to sell off eight slots at Reagan National and 16 slots at LaGuardia.
