Political deal on EU forced-labor ban stresses risk-based approach, EU companies’ external value chains

By Oscar Pandiello ( March 5, 2024, 17:00 GMT | Insight) -- The use of forced labor within EU companies’ value chains will be identified and investigated by the European Commission if suspected cases concern countries outside the bloc’s borders, according to a deal reached today by the EU’s co-legislators.
