( June 24, 2016, 07:36 GMT | Official Statement) -- Taiyo Nippon Sanso, a Japanese maker of industrial gases, says it will buy a portion of a US industrial gas business from Air Liquide. The transaction requires approval by the US Federal Trade Commission. The move follows the commission’s decision in May to approve Air Liquide’s purchase of Airgas on condition that the company sell a portion of its business. Taiyo Nippon Sanso’s Matheson Tri-Gas unit will buy that portion, the company said today in a statement. The statement, in Japanese, is attached....
