Length of jail terms and disqualifications for collusion added to reforms of Chile’s penal code

( March 18, 2016, 11:48 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The constitutional commission of Chile’s upper house has provided more details on the penalties for collusion in proposed amendements to the country's penal code. The Senate commission agreed guilty parties will in future face jail terms of between three and 10 years, and disqualification from senior management roles for between seven and 10 years. The new legislation aims to criminalize acts of market collusion, which are currently only punishable with fines.Senate statement follows in Spanish....
