Maroš Šefčovič, in charge of the bloc's long-term planning, called for a "drastic" policy change to avoid developing an oil-like dependency on foreign powers.The EU’s clean-tech, digital, health, space and defense industries should be restricted in competing for limited raw materials such as rare earths and magnets to avoid developing an overreliance on external suppliers, commissioner Maroš Šefčovič said today....
