Thai ministry amending standards to prevent steel dumping by China

Local steel associations representing manufacturers such as Tata Steel and Sahaviriya Steel Industries said Thailand is a major target of China’s move to offload its steel as the country's economy slows, and that even with current anti-dumping rules in place, Thai authorities have failed to stop the influx. The ministry expects to submit nine standards for Cabinet review by September. Seventeen of the new standards will require mandatory enforcement, with the remaining serving as general specifications to update quality standards. ...
